Sales Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Sales Manager to lead a team of sales personnel in promoting the products of one of our companies, Hong Bee Distributors Sdn. Bhd. The said products are from the brands Vinda and Brands. Product lines may change from time to time. This position is based in Gopeng, Ipoh and he/she would report to the company’s General Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To oversee all sales & marketing related activities.
  • To lead, manage and motivate the sales team to deliver sales target.
  • To coach and train the sales team to be top performers.
  • To help develop better sales plans and strategies.
  • To understand clients’ requirements and to formulate them into solutions.
  • To maintain good relationship with clients.
  • To co-ordinate with various department in ensuring paper execution.
  • To liaise with existing customers and recruit potential new clients.
  • To assist in market research and preparation of marketing report.

Sales Executive

Hong Bee Hardware Sdn. Bhd. (Construction Materials division)

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Sales Executive to help serve and service our ever growing list of customers in our Construction Materials division. This position is based in Hong Bee Headquaters, George Town, Penang and he/she would report to the division’s Sales Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To achieve sales target.
  • Manage and secure existing as well as new accounts, and continue to maintain a high level of sales achievement.
  • Makes telephone calls, in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers and to gather information to determine their potential.
  • Attend to the customers’ problems and complaints.
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/STPM.
  • Able read and write in Bahasa Malaysia/English.
  • Good command in English/Bahasa Malaysia. Chinese will added advantage.

Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for Accountant to help support our financial team. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions. This position is based in Hong Bee Head Quarters, Georgetown, Penang, and he or she would be reporting to the Group Accountant, General Manager and Group Managing Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of accounts and reviewing financial reports.
  • Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations including plan, assign, review and supervision of subordinates’ work.
  • Handle full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
  • Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls.
  • Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries.
  • Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all accounting transactions.
  • Recording, classifying and summarizing financial transactions and events in accordance with accepted local accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Develop and improve internal control and effective accounting system and policies and initiate corrective actions.
  • Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Review of credit control system, ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner and regularly review the company's debt recovery procedures.
  • Tax planning, compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
  • Providing required information for preparation of statutory audited accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislations related to operation of the business.
  • Other Ad hoc duties.

REQUIREMENTS

  • CPA or Min Degree in Accounting/Finance/ACCA qualification.
  • Relevant experience in audit and costing is advantageous.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.
  • Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
  • Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
Accounts Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions. This position is based in Hong Bee Head Quarters, Georgetown, Penang, and he or she would be reporting to the Group Accountant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
  • Create and update expense reports.
  • Process reimbursement forms.
  • Prepare bank deposits.
  • Enter financial transactions into internal databases.
  • Check spreadsheets for accuracy.
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records.
  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed.
  • Review and file payroll documents.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk.
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures.
  • Familiarity with finance regulations.
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software. (e.g. QuickBooks)
  • Organization skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
  • BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
